S4 Week 14

Hey guys!

It is the last blog post! I am really excited that the semester is ending.  just finished my Spanish and Public Speaking class. It feels so good to have to only focus on this and Physics class. I hope you guys are doing well. I just finished Never Have I Ever on Netflix. The show is so good. Watch it if you are in for a roller coaster.

I am also excited because this is my last semester at Phoenix College! I can not wait to see what awaits me in my new chapter. See you guys! Have a nice summer.

S4 Week 12

Hey guys!

Hope you guys are doing well. Honestly the last few days have been tiring. I hate being able to do nothing. I have recently just got back into dancing and working out. I feel so fit haha. Have you guys seen any good shows lately? I am currently watching Good Trouble and it is so good. I also recently got a PS4, and my sisters and I can not stop playing My Hero One Justice 2. I dare you guys to challenge me as Kaminari; he's my best character.

I made progress with my paper. It is a very rough rough draft. I can not wait for school to be done and hopefully quarantine is done by then so I can celebrate my birthday month. Wish you guys the best!

S4 Week 11

Hey guys!

I hope you guys are doing well. The whole situation is crazy right now. I have so many conspiracies too lol hit me up if you wanna know. But I hope your pantries are full and you have toilet paper. If you are struggling with food, there's this farmer market thing called Produce on Wheels. The website is http://www.borderlandsproducerescue.org/produce-on-wheels/. With $12 you can purchase 70 lbs of fresh produce. Hope that maybe this can help you during these times.
I have been working on my paper and classwork in the meantime. I just miss my stinky facial bacteria and I still want to see results. Miss you guys and stay safe. Hopefully you can pick up a hobby during this time. Mines is playing Animal Crossing.

S4 Week 6

Hey guys!


Hope all is well. This week I did take more facial samples from Brittany and Brenton. Thank you guys! I was annoyed this week. I just feel like time is running out and I have not been able to do much. I feel like my mind is everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I had a notebook where I wrote my ideas, what I am going to next , and etc. I think I am going to start using it again. I am also not getting as much work done as I would like in two days so I think I will be coming in more days to get work done. But I will carry through :) !

S4 Week 5

Hey guys!

I wish I could have had more work done this week in the lab, but the autoclave was down and I could not make more media. I was grateful that Daisy let me use some of her plates. But I still can not wait until it gets fixed. I got face samples from Irvin who is combination. I have notice that combination bacteria grows very pretty. The bacteria grows very circular. I started putting some of the bacteria in FTM since it is a rich media but it was also tell if the bacteria likes oxygen and to what degree.

S4 Week 4

Hey guys!

Unfortunately I was not in the lab to get much work done this week because I got my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday. It was so painful and frightening. I normally produce a lot of saliva but since my mouth was bleeding, it literally looked like I was vomiting blood. I had no control of my lips and tongue, so I could not close my mouth. I had blood pouring out of my mouth and leaking all over my shirt. But the healing process was not too bad, I got a lot of sleep. Plus I lost 14 pounds in less than a week. I should get my teeth extracted more often haha.

On to my project, I took swabs of the lovely Daisy's face who is combination on Tuesday. I am thinking of doing 2 people (1 male and 1 female) for each skin type so I do not run out of time. I am still taking donations of your lovely skin bacteria :)

S4 Week 3

Hey guys!

Thank you for those who asked if my mother is okay. She is getting much better.

This week, I was still trying to regrow my samples in FTM and blood agar. The results are very weak. Out of a set of like 10 plates, only like two grew. I think most, if not all of my samples are dead. I believe that I am wasting my time right now sadly. I am requesting that if you guys have time that I need facial samples from people with dry, combination, oily, and normal skin under the age of 30.

If you do not know your skin type, wash your face with warm water and facial cleanser. Pat your face dry and wait for about 10-30 minutes (Do not apply lotion). If your skin is peeling and ashy: you are dry. If your skin is oily in some areas and dry or decently moisturized in others: you are combination. If your skin is greasy all over: you are oily. If your face feels neither oily or dry and the moisture is distributed evenly across your face: you are normal. I am really hoping to hear from you guys. Thank you :)!
